About B2B
Why are we here?
Our meetings are intended to generate business for our members. We meet to learn about each other, and what we do for a living.
Our meetings are run by professionals
Our group moderator conducts a well-structured business meeting, with an agenda, time table, and specific objectives for each meeting. Learn more about what happens at meetings.
We meet just once per month
Unlike many other networking groups, we meet just once per month, and not before work at 7:00 am, or duing meals. Our meetings are held at 9:00 am., in a conference room at a local facility. While individuals in the group may choose to get together outside of the monthly meeting, there is no requirement to do so. We don't meet in a restaurant, there is no pressure to purchase a meal, and coffee is provided. We treat this as a business meeting, not a social event. We don't want anything to take away from the reason we are all here: to help each other become more successful in business.
We don't track leads
We don't count or require members to exchange leads or referrals during the meeting. When leads are tracked, members sometimes hold them until the next meeting so they “get counted.” Members can also feel pressured to share business names and confidential information, which makes them feel uneasy and hurts the group.
If you're waiting more than a few minutes to connect another business professional with a lead, something is wrong! Because we don't track leads, our members may call other members right away to exchange referrals, as opposed to waiting until the next meeting. As a result, business happens sooner!
We welcome your participation in other leads groups
You are welcome to belong to other referral or lead-generating groups. Some professionals (such as attorneys, CPAs andfinancial advisors) are recommended against giving a client one name as a referral source, as it exposes them to problems if that client relationship fails. Most of them need 2-3 people they can provide as referral sources to their clients. Not only does this keep the business professionals safe, but also it gives the clients a choice as to whom to work with.
More information
As a guest, you may attend the first meeting at no charge. At the end of the meeting, decide if you'd like to join.
We encourage our members to invite other business owners and entrepreneurs to visit our group. However, you must inform the group moderator 48 hours in advance of the meeting, due to the non-compete arrangement we have.
